Donna Bevers is an author who grew up in Whitehall, Indiana, a small rural community in the heart of the Midwest. Raised in a television-free home, her parents encouraged her to explore the world and expand her knowledge through reading.
Donna's love for books began early on, as she eagerly participated in her local library's reading program each summer, always striving to achieve the most circles on the program's caterpillar. Whether perched on tree roots in the pasture or comfortably lounging on the sofa, she would lose herself in the pages, immersing herself in the lives of characters like Laura Ingalls, Florence Nightingale, and Pippi Longstocking.
With each book she devoured, Donna found solace and inspiration, often imagining herself as the characters she encountered. Now, as a grandmother, Donna has kept her passion for reading alive and embarked on a writing journey, aiming to leave a legacy for her grandchildren. Her debut children's book, "Freddy Frog," marks the beginning of her Woodland Creatures collection. Through her colorful characters, Donna hopes to ignite the imaginations of children and parents everywhere, sharing her love for storytelling.
